Let The Good Times Roll // Oliver
« Thread Started on May 12, 2007, 12:20am »

The hallways were empty. Not a soul was up and out of their beds, except Honey, who hadn't gotten an ounce of sleep. All last night she was studying for the final exams, they were just around the corner, and instead of cramming in her studies all in the night before the exams, she starts a week in advance, so she could stay up late and get better sleep just before the exam. This whole time she's been worrying about the exams, she totally forgot about Oliver.

Of course she didn't completely forget about him. They still were seeing eachother, but Honey wasn't sure any more if they still had a chance together since the dance. He was the highlight of her year. They went to the dance together, and really hit it off, but Honey's not even sure what she did or what happened that made the two of them rather distant from eachother. They hadn't had a decent conversation in months, and although they have loads of classes together, he's too busy talking with his pals then to come over and talk to her, and of course, she's too shy to go up to him and talk. Maybe he was the same way, maybe not, but whatever was happening Honey sure wished there was a way to fix it.

She stared at her locker door for a little, looking at the pictures they took at the dance. She looked rather good that night, she couldn't lie to herself, but she was nothing compared to how cute and handsome Oliver looked. He was so cute in his little tux, Honey remembered catching herself staring admiringly over at him. Why did this year have to go by so fast, Honey didn't want to leave for the summer and miss Oliver, and who knew if he would come back next year. She sure hoped so, it wouldn't be the same, and maybe after they get back things will heat up again. As for now, it's better off being friends and not having to worry about an awkward goodbye. Still, since the day she's met him, all she's been dreaming for this whole year is for him to be hers.

ooc: i apologize SOOO much for never replying. i got my almost-end-of-semester grade reports and, well....two c's isn't exactly the kind of thing my parents wanted to see, so they took away my computer. how inconvenient. anyway, i hope that you won't hold this against me, and i hope it isn't going to screw up our efforts too much...

It was way too early, and Oli definitely did not want to be up. No one else he knew was ever up this early, possibly because they were a little more intelligent. But no, he'd gotten up earlier this morning to go in and ask his math teacher about a few things; namely, how he could raise his grade in a week. Sure, he was okay with a C+, and his parents probably wouldn't care, but he knew that any of the colleges his father wanted him to go to wouldn't accept that. Though, if Oli knew his father well enough, grades had less impact than their family's reputation and money.

He yawned as he rounded the corner. Oli stuck a hand into his hoodie pocket and turned up the volume on his iPod to try to wake himself up a little. Unfortunately, it didn't work, and he ended up almost deafening himself momentarily.

Oli was shocked to see Honey standing in the hallway at her locker. He hadn't really talked to her in a while, though he stil liked her quite a bit. He quickly weighed the options in his head: talk to math teacher and please no one, or talk to Honey and please himself, and, hopefully, her, too. The only negative was that he tended to ramble, and ramble, and ramble. Oli sighed and reached into his pocket once more to turn off his iPod, then pulled out the earphones.

"I haven't seen you in a while, unfortunately," Oli said cheerfully as he leaned up against the locker next to Honey's. He had to fight the urge to close his eyes and sleep, but, luckily, he was pretty motivated. "How've you been?"
